It is deparmental policy that in order for a student to pass Math 201, he or she must past a so-called Gateway exam. These are exams that are administered by faculty and are intended to cover the basic material of Math 201. You have four chances to get 5 of the 6 questions on a Gateway exactly correct. The days we will be having Gateway exams are:

The last day to withdraw from a course is November 4. So, should you not pass one of the Gateway exams, it is recommended you withdraw from the course at that point.

Our final exam will be administered at a day and time to be determined. Do not make any plans to leave campus until the day and time are announced. The other commons hours, the ones not used for gateways and exams, will be used for group quizzes.

Homework Policy


Grades

The course grade will be based upon the scores on your presentations, the exams, and quizzes:

In-class exams 15% each for a total of 45%
Final Exam 30%
Group Quizzes 10%
Class presentations 10%
Homework that is not presented 5%
